| BOARD MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES
Members of the TSCA Board of Directors are responsible for determining the overall direction of the organization, ensuring the organization does what it needs on behalf of its members and avoids what it shouldn’t do based on ASCA Ethical Standards and Position Statements. Board members are expected to be knowledgeable about ASCA’s standards and positions. Board members are responsible for the governance function of the organization, including the creation of TSCA bylaws, establishing policies, monitoring compliance with the policies, establishing linkages with TSCA members and completing all tasks necessary to meet these responsibilities. HOW WORK IS PERFORMEDMost board member responsibilities can be performed online and by phone/text. Aside from meetings (see below), Board members carry out their duties at times that work for their schedule. MEETINGSTo accomplish the responsibilities outlined above, the TSCA board meets monthly via Zoom. Board members are expected to attend these meetings. |
