ABOUT THE PRESENTER

 

Meredith Draughn

Meredith Draughn is the 2023 American School Counselor Association School Counselor of the Year. She currently serves as the sole school counselor at B. Everett Jordan Elementary School (Graham, North Carolina), which earned RAMP (Recognized ASCA Model Program) recognition in 2021. Draughn has 9 years of school counseling experience at elementary, middle and high school levels and is a graduate of Wake Forest University (bachelor's) and Appalachian State University (master's). She was named 2021-22 North Carolina School Counselor of the Year and a 2019-20. Draughn is passionate about sharing her knowledge and learning collaboratively with other counselors in the field, and has presented on topics about data collection, building self-regulation skills, and creating a comprehensive, developmental school counseling program.
